What is this product, and how does it work?
The ScreenflowAI platform allows broadcasters to upload videos, which are then analysed by AI to generate actionable insights and interactive features, such as product recommendations, tips and trivia.
Who is this platform for?
It's designed for broadcasters, content creators, and marketers looking to enhance audience engagement and monetize video content.
What types of videos can I upload?
You can upload any pre-recorded video. Live streamed videos and supporting features will be available in July 2025.
What video formats are supported for upload?
The platform primarily supports MP4 but utilizes FFmpeg, which allows compatibility with most video formats and codecs.
What happens if I upload an unsupported format?
If you have a video upload that has failed, please contact OBT support to have the file format added.
Can multiple videos be uploaded at once?
Bulk upload is not available yet but is on the development roadmap.
How does the AI identify products in videos?
The AI identifies actions performed in the video to generate insights such as potential interactive moments e.g. suggesting football clothing for a scene involving football.
Can I edit the AI-generated CTAs or recommendations?
Yes, operators can review and edit the AI-generated CTAs, time codes, and other outputs. The AI serves as a starting point, but manual review ensures the final content aligns with user goals.
How long does it take to upload and process a video?
Upload time depends on the quality and length of the video and on the user's internet connection. The processing time is indicated in a progress bar on the UI and varies according to the quality slider selected when you upload your video. As a guide, a 10-minute video takes approximately 8 minutes to process at low quality.
What does the quality slider change?
The quality slider that is shown during the video upload allows you to change how often frames are extracted from the video for analysis. Reducing the quality will make the analysis process faster at the cost of a more shallow understanding of the content, whilst increasing the quality will cause the analysis to take longer but result in a richer understanding of the content.
What kind of interactive elements can be added to my videos?
The AI suggests good moments for shoppable moments for products featured in the video, tips such as interesting facts about the video and trivia questions based on the video's content, making it more engaging for viewers.
Are the interactive elements customizable?
Absolutely. You can edit or refine the AI's interactive suggestions to align with your specific goals and branding.
Are there any restrictions on video length or size?
Our platform supports videos of any length provided the file size does not exceed 5 GB.
Can I disable or override AI timestamp suggestions?
Yes, you have full control over timestamp placement and can edit or disable suggestions to align with your preferences.
Can I integrate the interactive features with my website or app?
We provide a RESTful API and client SDKs in various programming languages to enable you to integrate with your websites and mobile apps.
How does the platform support collaboration in content management?
The platform is designed to encourage a collaborative and shared experience, allowing users to see and engage with interactions made by others. While role-based access control (RBAC) is not currently available, future updates may introduce additional permission settings to enhance collaborative workflows.
What branding options are available?
Users can customize colors, heading and subheading text styles, and the logo. Branding can also be accessed via APIs and SDKs for integration with external platforms like VOD apps or websites.
How do viewers find the Comanion App?
The system provides two ways to link users to the companion app: a URL or a QR code, which encodes the URL. Both are simple and efficient methods for directing users to interactive content.
Can the AI segment videos into chapters or scenes?
Currently, the platform does not support video segmentation into chapters or scenes. This feature was part of older functionality but is no longer included due to limited value and high resource costs.
How can product catalogs be integrated?
Operators currently add product links manually, however there are imminent plans to support catalog uploads via CSV. This integration will allow AI to suggest products from a predefined list, streamlining the process across multiple videos.
How can this platform help me monetize my videos?
By embedding interactive features like product purchases, you can generate revenue directly from viewer interactions. Our development roadmap also includes targeted ad integration and gamification elements.
What analytics does the platform provide?
Analytics are not currently available but future updates will offer insights into viewer engagement, interaction rates with CTAs, and overall performance metrics to help optimize your videos.
What languages does the platform support?
The user interface is available in American English, but the platform supports videos in over 50 languages for analysis and processing.
How does the system manage GDPR compliance and first-party data collection?
End users i.e. non-operators are currently anonymous, but first-party data collection is under development. Operator data is not collected or stored.
What does the scheduling feature offer?
The scheduling feature allows you to set specific times that videos are going to be broadcast, ensuring your interactive content reaches audiences at the optimal moment of the broadcast.
Can I integrate my e-commerce store for product recommendations?
You can add links to your e-commerce store in Shoppable Moments and Headers. Deeper integration with e-commerce and customer loyalty platforms is planned as part of our product roadmap.
Does the system support affiliate marketing links?
Absolutely, you can add affiliate links to product recommendations to drive additional revenue.
What is the White Label Companion Web App?
The White Label Companion Web App allows you to host and present your interactive features to viewers, complete with customized branding.
How do viewers interact with the Companion App?
You direct viewers to the companion app by placing the QR code or a hyperlink on your content. The app supports all interactive features, including shoppable moments, tips and trivia providing a seamless viewer experience.
Is the White Label App mobile-friendly?
Yes, the app is fully responsive and optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
