Segments

Segments are added to a Schedule to define the contiguous blocks of content broadcasted. They allow you to define the advertisement breaks in the content. For example, if you plan to broadcast 10 minutes of content followed by a 4 minute ad break, followed by another 10 minutes of content, you would create the following segments:

Note that the offset for Part 2 is 14 minutes, which accounts for 10 minutes of content in part 1, plus 4 minutes of advertisements.

Adding segments to define the parts of the content ensure the interactive events are displayed to the user at the correct time across different broadcast slots and potentially on different channels.
